Meta Ads

Meta Ads is the advertising system behind Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads and the Audience Network, all managed in Meta Ads Manager. This hub covers the work of running campaigns there: business portfolio and ad account setup, campaign objectives, Advantage+ campaigns, targeting and custom audiences, creative and formats such as Reels and carousels, budgets and bidding, and measurement with the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API. It also covers the less pleasant parts of the job, such as rejected ads, restricted ad accounts and hacked accounts, with the official steps to fix them. Meta changes its tools and their names often, so each guide shows when it was last updated and links to the Meta Business Help Center pages it is based on. New to Meta Ads? Start with the guides below. Already running campaigns? Use the filters to go straight to targeting, creative, measurement or account issues.

How to Recover a Hacked Meta Ad Account (and Deleted Ads)

Secure the Facebook profile the attacker used first, then remove unknown people and partners, check your payment activity and open a case with Meta support. Deleted ads cannot be restored, but you can find them with the Deleted filter in Ads Manager and duplicate them.
