About Performance Marketing Hub

Last updated

Performance Marketing Hub is a free library of practical guides for people who run paid media, SEO and tracking for a living, or who are learning to.

Why this site exists

Most performance marketing content online is either a vendor pitch or a list of generic tips. This site aims to be the reference a practitioner actually needs: what a feature does according to the platform's own documentation, how to set it up, what usually goes wrong, and what to check before you spend budget on it.

Who is behind it

The site is run by Maxim Baeten, a freelance digital performance marketer based in Wetteren, Belgium who specialises in lead generation for B2B software companies. Every article is published under his name. Performance Marketing Hub is a project of his company, Maxim Baeten BV.

What we cover

  • SEO: technical SEO, keyword research, content, links and local search.
  • Google Ads: search, Performance Max, bidding, audits and the tools around them.
  • A/B Testing & CRO: test design, statistics and landing page improvements.
  • Meta Ads: facebook and Instagram campaigns, creative, targeting and account issues.
  • TikTok & Snapchat Ads: short video formats, Spark Ads, creators and tracking.
  • GEO: getting cited in AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity.
  • LLM Advertising: ads inside AI assistants and AI search results.
  • Marketing Automation: email, SMS, lead scoring and workflows.
  • Analytics, Tracking & Privacy: gA4, Tag Manager, server side tagging, attribution and consent.

How articles are made

Topics are picked from keyword research, questions in marketing communities and industry news. Articles are researched from official documentation and other primary sources and drafted with AI assistance, following Maxim's editorial guidelines and templates, and are then published automatically. Maxim sets the guidelines, adds his practical perspective, and reviews published articles regularly, correcting errors as soon as they are found. The full process is described in the editorial policy.

How the site is funded

The site is free to read and is funded by advertising through Google AdSense. Advertisers do not choose, pay for or review articles, and there are no sponsored posts. How ads and analytics use cookies is explained in the privacy and cookies page.
